- Is Settle a lending or debt collection service?
- No. Settle is a record-keeping tool for personal arrangements between people who know each other. It doesn't lend, collect, charge interest or report to anyone.
- Does the other person need an account?
- No. You send them a private link. They can view the agreement, confirm it and note a repayment without signing up.
- What can the other person see?
- Only this loan: the names you entered, the amount, the plan and the repayments. Never your email, your other loans or anything else in your account.
- What if a link is shared by mistake?
- Replace it with a new one from the loan's page. The old link stops working immediately.
- Does it cost anything?
- Settle is free for up to three active loans at a time. SquadFin Plus ($39 a year) removes the limit.
